Drywall Sheet Calculator – Estimate Materials Fast

This tool helps you quickly calculate the number of drywall sheets you need for your project.

How to Use the Drywall Sheet Calculator

To use this calculator, enter the following information:

  • Room Length: The length of the room in feet.
  • Room Width: The width of the room in feet.
  • Room Height: The height of the room in feet.
  • Sheet Length: The length of the drywall sheet in feet.
  • Sheet Width: The width of the drywall sheet in feet.

Once you have entered the necessary information, click the “Calculate” button to determine the number of drywall sheets required for the room. The result will be displayed in the “Result” field.

How It Calculates

The calculator determines the total surface area of the walls by calculating:

  • Two walls of the size (Length * Height)
  • Two walls of the size (Width * Height)

It then sums these areas to get the total surface area to be covered with drywall. To find the number of drywall sheets required, it divides the total surface area by the area of one drywall sheet (Sheet Length * Sheet Width).

Limitations

This calculator assumes that there are no windows, doors, or other openings in the walls. It also does not account for any wastage or offcuts that may be required. Be sure to add an extra margin for error when planning your project.
