DDD Estimator – Accurate Dose Calculation Tool

This tool helps you estimate your daily drug dose accurately based on your personal information.

How to Use This DDD Estimator Calculator

Fill in your weight (in kilograms), height (in centimeters), age (in years), and select your gender and activity level. Click the ‘Calculate’ button to get your estimated daily dietary demand (DDD).

How the Calculator Works

The calculator uses the Harris-Benedict Principle, which considers your basal metabolic rate (BMR) and multiplies it by your level of physical activity. Here’s how it’s calculated:

  • BMR for Men: 66 + (13.75 * weight in kg) + (5 * height in cm) – (6.75 * age in years)
  • BMR for Women: 655 + (9.56 * weight in kg) + (1.85 * height in cm) – (4.68 * age in years)
  • Activity Multiplier:
    • Sedentary: BMR * 1.2
    • Lightly Active: BMR * 1.375
    • Moderately Active: BMR * 1.55
    • Very Active: BMR * 1.725
    • Super Active: BMR * 1.9

Limitations

This calculator provides an estimate based on average data and the Harris-Benedict Equation. Individual requirements may vary depending on various factors not covered by this estimator, such as precise level of muscle mass, actual daily physical activity, and metabolic health. For personalized dietary recommendations, consult a healthcare or nutritional professional.
