This cost estimator allows you to calculate the total cost of an item purchase by considering various parameters like base cost, quantity, discount, tax rate, and shipping cost.

How To Use:

  1. Enter the base cost of a single item.
  2. Provide the quantity of items you plan to purchase.
  3. Specify any discount percentage if available.
  4. Enter the tax rate applicable in your region.
  5. Include the shipping cost for delivering the items.
  6. Click the “Calculate” button to get the total estimated cost.

How It Calculates The Results:

The calculator multiplies the base cost by the quantity to get the total base cost. Any discount is then subtracted from this total base cost to get the discounted cost. Tax is applied to the discounted cost, and the shipping cost is added to arrive at the final total cost.

Limitations:

  • Ensure all fields are filled out with valid numbers.
  • Currently, it supports only one tax rate applicable to the entire purchase.
  • The calculator does not factor in different shipping rates for different quantities or regions.
