Inch Calorie Calculator – Accurate Daily Calorie Needs

This tool will help you easily convert inches to calories burned through various physical activities.

How to Use the Inch Calorie Calculator

To use this calculator, please fill in your weight in pounds, height in inches, age in years, and select your gender and activity level from the dropdown menus. Then, click the “Calculate” button to see your daily caloric needs.

How It Calculates the Results

The calculator uses the Harris-Benedict equation to estimate your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), which is the number of calories you’d burn if you were at rest all day. It then adjusts the BMR based on your activity level to give an estimate of your daily caloric needs:

  • BMR for men: 66 + (6.3 * weight in pounds) + (12.9 * height in inches) + (6.8 * age in years)
  • BMR for women: 655 + (4.3 * weight in pounds) + (4.7 * height in inches) + (4.7 * age in years)

The activity levels are accounted for with the following multipliers:

  • Sedentary: BMR * 1.2
  • Lightly active: BMR * 1.375
  • Moderately active: BMR * 1.55
  • Active: BMR * 1.725
  • Very active: BMR * 1.9

Limitations

This calculator provides an estimate of your daily caloric needs based on standard equations, but individual needs can vary. Factors like muscle mass, medical conditions, and precise activity levels can affect caloric requirements. Always consult with a healthcare provider or nutritionist for personalized advice.
