Calorie Calculator Workout – Track Fitness Progress

This tool helps you estimate the calories burned during your workout based on activity type, duration, and intensity.

Calorie Workout Calculator

How It Works

This calculator estimates the number of calories you burn during a workout based on various factors including your age, gender, weight, height, activity level, and workout time. It uses the Harris-Benedict Equation to first determine your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), then multiplies by the chosen Activity Level (PAL) to get Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE).

How to Use

  • Enter your age in years.
  • Select your gender.
  • Input your weight in kilograms.
  • Input your height in centimeters.
  • Choose your typical daily activity level from the dropdown menu.
  • Input the duration of your workout in minutes.
  • Click “Calculate” to see the estimated calories burnt during your workout.

Calculation Details and Limitations

The calculations are estimates and not exact. The BMR is calculated using:

  • For men: BMR = 88.362 + (13.397 x weight in kg) + (4.799 x height in cm) – (5.677 x age in years)
  • For women: BMR = 447.593 + (9.247 x weight in kg) + (3.098 x height in cm) – (4.330 x age in years)

Your TDEE is then BMR multiplied by your chosen activity level. To find the calories burnt in a workout, the TDEE is adjusted proportionally to the workout time.

Limitations of this calculator include generalization of activity levels and not accounting for fitness levels, metabolic variations, and specific health conditions.
