How to Use the Calorie Counter Tracker

This calculator helps you estimate the number of calories you need per day to maintain your current weight. The results include your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE). Follow these steps:

  1. Enter your Age in years.
  2. Select your Gender.
  3. Enter your Weight in kilograms.
  4. Enter your Height in centimeters.
  5. Choose your Activity Level based on your daily exercise routine.
  6. Click the “Calculate” button.

How It Calculates the Results

The calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor Equation to estimate BMR:

  • For Men: BMR = 88.362 + (13.397 * weight) + (4.799 * height) – (5.677 * age)
  • For Women: BMR = 447.593 + (9.247 * weight) + (3.098 * height) – (4.330 * age)

It then multiplies the BMR by an activity factor to estimate TDEE:

  • Sedentary: BMR * 1.2
  • Light: BMR * 1.375
  • Moderate: BMR * 1.55
  • Active: BMR * 1.725
  • Very Active: BMR * 1.9

Limitations
