How It Works

The calculator uses your age, gender, weight, height, and duration of the boxing session to estimate the number of calories burned based on the intensity level you select.

For males, the Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) is calculated using the formula: BMR = 88.362 + (13.397 * weight) + (4.799 * height) - (5.677 * age). For females, the BMR is calculated using the formula: BMR = 447.593 + (9.247 * weight) + (3.098 * height) - (4.330 * age).

The calories burnt per minute are then derived by factoring in the intensity of the exercise using respective coefficients for light, moderate, and vigorous activities.

Limitations

This calculator provides an estimation and should not be considered a precise measurement of calorie expenditure. Factors like metabolism rate, exact body composition, and individual variances can affect the actual calories burned. Always consult with a healthcare provider for detailed personal health advice.
