  • Calculates the volume in cubic feet using the formula: length * width * (depth / 12).
  • Calculates the weight in pounds by multiplying the volume by the density.
  • Converts the weight from pounds to tons using: weight (lbs) / 2000.

Limitations

This calculator is limited to rectangular areas. It does not account for irregular shapes or different measuring units. Ensure the density value is based on dry weight of the aggregate. The depth should ideally be in inches for this specific calculator.
