Calculation Explanation:
The calorie values are based on average calorie content per 100 grams for each food type:
- Fruit: 52 calories/100 grams
- Vegetable: 25 calories/100 grams
- Meat: 250 calories/100 grams
- Dairy: 150 calories/100 grams
- Grains: 85 calories/100 grams
By entering the quantity in grams, the calculator parses and validates the input. It then multiplies the quantity by the equivalent calorie factor and presents the results in a tabular format.
