Calorie Calculator Concept 2 – Accurate Fitness Tracking

This tool lets you calculate the calories you burn based on your specific rowing workout details.

Results:

This calculator estimates your daily calorie needs to maintain your current weight based on gender, age, weight, height, and activity level.

How to Use:

  • Select your gender.
  • Enter your age in years.
  • Enter your weight in kilograms (kg).
  • Enter your height in centimeters (cm).
  • Select your activity level.
  • Click the Calculate button.

How it Calculates:

The calorie calculator uses the Harris-Benedict equation to estimate your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), which represents the number of calories you’d burn if you were at rest all day. The formula for BMR is different for men and women:

  • Men: BMR = 10 * weight (kg) + 6.25 * height (cm) – 5 * age (years) + 5
  • Women: BMR = 10 * weight (kg) + 6.25 * height (cm) – 5 * age (years) – 161

Your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) is then calculated by multiplying your BMR by your activity level.

This gives you an estimate of the total number of calories you need to maintain your current weight based on your level of activity.

Limitations:

While this calculator provides an estimate, it may not be 100% accurate for everyone. Factors such as muscle mass, fat percentage, and overall health can influence your actual calorie needs. It is always a good idea to consult with a healthcare provider or nutritionist for personalized advice.
