How to use the Calorie Calculator

Enter your personal information such as age, gender, weight, height, and your daily activity level. After filling all the required fields, click on the ‘Calculate’ button to see your estimated daily calorie needs.

How the Calculator Works

The calorie calculator estimates your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) using the Mifflin-St Jeor Equation:

  • For men: BMR = 10 * weight (kg) + 6.25 * height (cm) – 5 * age (years) + 5
  • For women: BMR = 10 * weight (kg) + 6.25 * height (cm) – 5 * age (years) – 161

The BMR is then multiplied by the activity level to get the total calories you need per day to maintain your current weight.

Limitations

This calculator gives a general estimation and may not be accurate for everyone. It’s best to use it as a starting point and adjust based on personal results.
