How It Calculates Results

The calculator uses the Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) formula to calculate your daily calorie needs:

  • For females: BMR = 447.593 + (9.247 * weight in kg) + (3.098 * height in cm) – (4.330 * age in years)

It then multiplies your BMR by an activity factor based on your selected activity level:

  • Light exercise (1-3 days/week): BMR * 1.375
  • Moderate exercise (3-5 days/week): BMR * 1.55
  • Active (6-7 days/week): BMR * 1.725
