Calorie Counter Calculator

This calculator helps you estimate the number of calories you need daily to maintain your weight based on your age, gender, weight, height, and activity level. Please fill out the form accurately to get a reliable estimate.

How to Use:

  1. Enter your age in years.
  2. Select your gender.
  3. Enter your weight in kilograms.
  4. Enter your height in centimeters.
  5. Choose your activity level from the provided options.
  6. Click on the “Calculate” button to get the results.

How It Calculates:

The calculator first determines your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) using the Harris-Benedict equation:

  • For Men: BMR = 88.362 + (13.397 * Weight) + (4.799 * Height) – (5.677 * Age)
  • For Women: BMR = 447.593 + (9.247 * Weight) + (3.098 * Height) – (4.330 * Age)

It then multiplies the BMR by an activity factor to estimate the total daily caloric needs:

  • Sedentary: BMR * 1.2
  • Lightly Active: BMR * 1.375
  • Moderately Active: BMR * 1.55
  • Very Active: BMR * 1.725
  • Super Active: BMR * 1.9

Limitations:

This calculator provides an estimate based on average values. Individual variations can occur due to metabolism differences and other factors that this calculator cannot account for.
