CFA Calorie Calculator – Accurate Daily Intake

This tool helps you calculate the calorie needs specific to your daily activities and goals.

How to Use the Calorie Calculator

To use the calculator, simply input your age, gender, weight (in kilograms), height (in centimeters), and select your activity level from the dropdown. Once all fields are filled, click the “Calculate” button, and your daily calorie needs will be displayed in the result box.

How It Works

This calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor Equation to estimate Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), which is then multiplied by an activity factor to estimate daily calorie needs.

  • For males: BMR = 88.362 + (13.397 x weight in kg) + (4.799 x height in cm) – (5.677 x age in years)
  • For females: BMR = 447.593 + (9.247 x weight in kg) + (3.098 x height in cm) – (4.330 x age in years)

The BMR is then multiplied by the selected activity factor to provide an estimate of daily calorie needs to maintain current weight.

Limitations

This calculator provides an estimate and may not be accurate for all individuals, especially those with above-average muscle mass, those who are obese, or those with unique medical conditions. For personalized advice, it’s always best to consult with a healthcare or nutrition professional.
