How to Use the Calculator
Enter the length, width, and thickness of your concrete slab in the respective input fields. Length and width should be in feet, while thickness should be in inches. After filling all fields, click the “Calculate” button. The result will then be displayed in cubic yards.
How It Calculates Results
The calculator first converts the thickness from inches to feet by dividing the provided thickness value by 12. Then, it multiplies the length by the width and the converted thickness to get the volume in cubic feet. Finally, to get the volume in cubic yards, which is a common measurement for concrete volumes, it divides the cubic feet value by 27 (since there are 27 cubic feet in one cubic yard).
Limitations
This calculator assumes the concrete slab is a simple rectangular shape. Complex shapes, varying thickness, or slopes are not accounted for. Round to the nearest whole number if your dimensions are not precise and consult with a professional for complicated projects or large orders to ensure accuracy.
