How to Use the Double Layer Tint Calculator

To use the calculator, enter the visible light transmission (VLT), thermal transmission, and UV reduction percentages for both layers into the appropriate fields. Once all fields are completed, press “Calculate” to see the combined effects of applying these two layers of tint.

Calculation Method

The calculator computes combined visible light transmission by multiplying the VLT percentages of both layers. Similarly, it calculates combined thermal transmission with the same multiplication method. For UV reduction, it calculates the complementary percentage of both layers before combining them.

Limitations

This calculator assumes that the effects of both layers multiply without additional factors affecting them. Note that in real-world applications, other variables might influence the final results.
