This tool will calculate the total cost of framing your artwork based on your input.
Framing Cost Calculator
This calculator will help you estimate the cost of framing a rectangular area, based on the specified dimensions, materials, and optional glass inclusion.
How to Use
- Enter the width and height of the area to be framed in meters.
- Select the material for the frame from the dropdown menu.
- If you want to include glass, check the “Include Glass” checkbox and provide the glass density if known.
- Click the “Calculate” button to see the total estimated cost.
How It Calculates the Results
The calculator computes the perimeter of the area to be framed, which is twice the sum of the width and height. It then multiplies the perimeter by the cost per meter of the selected material. If glass is included, it also calculates the cost of the glass based on the area and specified density, assuming a cost of $20 per square meter of glass. The final result is the sum of these costs.
Limitations
This calculator provides an estimate and may not cover additional costs such as labor, specialized materials, or custom sizing. Always consult with a professional for comprehensive cost assessments.
