Fsai Calorie Calculator – Free Calorie Counter

This tool helps you quickly calculate your daily calorie needs based on your personal information.

How to Use the Calorie Calculator

To use the calorie calculator, follow these simple steps:

  • Select your gender.
  • Enter your age in years.
  • Enter your weight in kilograms.
  • Enter your height in centimeters.
  • Select your activity level from the dropdown menu.
  • Click the “Calculate” button to see your daily calorie needs.

How it Calculates the Results

This calorie calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor Equation, which is one of the most accurate methods for calculating Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). The BMR is then multiplied by an activity factor to estimate daily calorie needs. The equations are as follows:

For men: BMR = 10 × weight (kg) + 6.25 × height (cm) – 5 × age (y) + 5

For women: BMR = 10 × weight (kg) + 6.25 × height (cm) – 5 × age (y) – 161

The resulting BMR is multiplied by the selected activity level to get the total daily calorie needs.

Limitations

While this calculator provides a good estimate of daily calorie needs, it has some limitations:

  • It does not account for muscle mass vs. fat mass. Two people with the same weight and height but different body compositions may have different caloric needs.
  • It does not consider medical conditions or medications that might affect metabolism.
  • It provides estimates and individual needs can vary.
