Glenapp Calorie Calculator – Accurate & Easy to Use

This tool helps you estimate how many calories you need to consume daily based on your personal information and activity level.

Glenapp Calorie Calculator

The Glenapp Calorie Calculator helps you estimate the number of calories you need to consume daily to maintain your current weight based on your age, gender, weight, height, and activity level.

How to Use the Calculator

  • Enter your age.
  • Select your gender.
  • Enter your weight in kilograms (kg).
  • Enter your height in centimeters (cm).
  • Select your activity level from the dropdown.
  • Click the “Calculate” button to get your daily calorie needs.

How It Calculates

The calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor Equation to estimate your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and then multiplies it by your activity level to get your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE).

The formula for BMR is:

  • For men: BMR = 10 * weight (kg) + 6.25 * height (cm) – 5 * age (years) + 5
  • For women: BMR = 10 * weight (kg) + 6.25 * height (cm) – 5 * age (years) – 161

The TDEE is then calculated as:

  • TDEE = BMR * Activity Level

Limitations

While this calculator provides a good estimate of your calorie needs, it cannot account for all individual differences. Factors such as muscle mass, overall health, and specific metabolic differences can all influence your actual calorie requirements. For personalized advice, consult with a healthcare or nutrition professional.
