How It Calculates
The calculator uses the entered dimensions to determine the total volume of concrete required and converts it into the number of standard 80lb concrete bags. The formula for volume calculation is as follows:
Volume (cubic feet) = Length (ft) × Width (ft) × Thickness (in) / 12
And then the volume is converted to the number of 80lb bags.
Limitations: This calculator assumes a standard 80lb bag of concrete. It is always recommended to buy extra material to cover spillage and variations in thickness.
