How to Use the Calculator:
To estimate your total compensation, fill out the following fields:
- Base Salary: Enter your annual base salary in dollars.
- Annual Bonus Percentage: Enter your expected annual bonus percentage.
- Annual Stock Grant: Enter the dollar amount of your annual stock grant.
- Relocation Package: Enter the dollar amount of any relocation package you have been offered.
- Sign-On Bonus: Enter the dollar amount of any sign-on bonus you have been offered.
- Retirement Benefits: Enter the percentage of your salary that will be contributed to your retirement benefits.
Once all fields are filled in, press the Calculate button to see your estimated total compensation.
How It Calculates the Results:
The calculator takes all the entered values and computes the total compensation as follows:
- Calculates the annual bonus by multiplying the base salary by the bonus percentage and dividing by 100.
- Adds the annual stock grant, relocation package, and sign-on bonus directly to the total compensation.
- Calculates the retirement benefits by multiplying the base salary by the retirement benefits percentage and dividing by 100.
- Sums all the above amounts to produce the final total compensation.
Limitations of the Calculator:
This calculator provides a rough estimate of your total compensation. It does not account for taxes, insurance, or other possible deductions. Other compensation factors, such as company-specific benefits or allowances, are also not included. For a more accurate estimation, consult with a financial advisor.
