Lowes Calculator – Accurate Home Improvement Estimates

This tool will help you calculate the total cost of your home improvement project quickly and accurately.

How to Use the Calculator

To use this calculator, simply input the dimensions of the room you are working with, including length, width, height, and the number of windows and doors. Then click the “Calculate” button to get the total wall area minus the area taken up by windows and doors.

How It Calculates the Results

The calculator first computes the total wall area by multiplying the perimeter of the room by the height. The perimeter is calculated as 2 times the sum of the length and width. Then, it subtracts the area occupied by windows and doors. For this calculation, each window is assumed to occupy 15 square feet and each door occupies 20 square feet.

Limitations

This calculator assumes standard window and door sizes and does not account for other architectural details that might affect wall surface area. It also assumes all walls are rectangular and vertical.
