How It Calculates the Results

The calculator uses the following formulas to estimate your daily caloric needs:

  • For men: BMR = 10 * weight (kg) + 6.25 * height (cm) – 5 * age (years) + 5
  • For women: BMR = 10 * weight (kg) + 6.25 * height (cm) – 5 * age (years) – 161

The BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) is then multiplied by the activity factor you chose to estimate your daily calorie needs.
