This tool helps you estimate your ocean depth of target (ODOT).
How to Use the ODOT Estimator
To use the calorie estimator, follow these steps:
- Enter your age in the “Age” field.
- Select your sex from the “Sex” dropdown menu.
- Input your height in centimeters in the “Height” field.
- Enter your weight in kilograms in the “Weight” field.
- Select your activity level from the “Activity Level” dropdown.
- Click the “Calculate” button to see your estimated daily caloric needs.
How It Works
The ODOT Estimator calculates your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) using the Harris-Benedict equation. This estimation is based on your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) adjusted for your activity level. The BMR is calculated differently for males and females and takes into account your weight, height, and age. The activity level further adjusts the BMR to estimate total daily calories burnt through general activities and exercise.
Limitations
This estimator provides a rough estimate of daily caloric needs and assumes average body composition. It may not be accurate for bodybuilders, athletes, or individuals with very high or low body mass indexes. Always consult a healthcare provider for personalized advice.
