How to Use the PSS (Perceived Stress Scale) Estimator
This PSS Estimator allows you to input your perceived stress levels based on 10 specific items. Each item should be rated on a scale from 0 to 4, with 0 meaning “never” and 4 meaning “very often”. Please fill out all fields to get the most accurate result.
How It Calculates the Results
The PSS Estimator calculates your stress level by combining both positive and negative responses. Positive responses (Items 4, 6, 8, and 9) and negative responses (Items 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, and 10) determine your final score. The formula used is:
Final Score = (Sum of Negative Responses - Sum of Positive Responses) + 20
Limitations
This PSS Estimator gives you an overall perception of your stress level but does not provide a clinical diagnosis. For professional advice and diagnosis, please consult a medical professional.
