How It Calculates
The calculator works by first finding the area of the space in square feet using the formula:
Area = Length x Width
Then, it calculates the area of one tile in square feet based on the tile size selected. The total number of tiles required is then computed by dividing the area of the space by the area of one tile:
Total Tiles = Area / Tile Area
The result is rounded up to ensure you have enough tiles to cover the entire area.
Limitations
- The calculator assumes that the area to be covered is a perfect rectangle.
- It doesn’t account for additional tiles needed for cutting, waste, or specific patterns.
- Only whole tiles are shown in the result, you may require additional tiles for partial spaces or cuts.
