How to Use the Concrete Calculator

To use this concrete calculator, please fill in the length, width, and depth of the area you are planning to pour concrete into. The length and width should be in feet, and the depth should be in inches.

After filling in all the parameters, click on the “Calculate” button to get the volume of concrete in both cubic feet and cubic yards. Make sure all input values are positive numbers.

How the Results Are Calculated

The concrete calculator will first convert the depth from inches to feet and then calculate the volume in cubic feet using the formula: length (ft) * width (ft) * depth (ft). After that, it converts the volume from cubic feet to cubic yards by dividing it by 27, since there are 27 cubic feet in a cubic yard.

Limitations

This calculator assumes a rectangular area and uniformly thick slab. This may not account for irregular shapes or variations in depth. Always consider adding a margin for error or consulting with a professional for more complex calculations.
