Pool Gallons Calculator | Accurate Pool Volume Estimates

This tool helps you calculate the number of gallons of water in your pool.

How to Use the Pool Gallons Calculator

To use this calculator, enter the length and width of your pool in feet. Then enter the depth of the shallow end and the depth of the deep end in feet. Click the “Calculate” button, and the calculator will display the total volume of your pool in gallons.

How it Works

The pool gallons calculator uses the following formula to calculate the total number of gallons of water your pool can hold:

  • First, it calculates the average depth of the pool by adding the shallow end depth and the deep end depth, then dividing the sum by two.
  • Then, it calculates the volume in cubic feet by multiplying the length, width, and average depth.
  • Finally, it converts the volume from cubic feet to gallons by multiplying the result by 7.48052 (since 1 cubic foot = 7.48052 gallons).

Calculator Limitations

Please note that this calculator assumes a rectangular pool with a constant slope from the shallow end to the deep end. If your pool has a different shape or varying slopes, the calculated value may not be accurate. Additionally, any inaccuracies in the measurements entered will affect the result. Always double-check your measurements for the best results.
